Amazon is seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Senior Chief Engineer to join the Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This role focuses on maintaining the critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon Web Services, ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates at peak efficiency. The Senior Chief Engineer will manage projects, mentor technicians, and drive continuous improvement efforts to achieve 100% uptime for customer-supporting infrastructure. This position requires collaboration with various teams and external vendors to deliver operational excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
• Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives or projects.
• Experience motivating others in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with large-scale technical operations that resulted in Field Service Bulletins.

• Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operates at peak efficiency.
• Manage small-to-medium impacting projects from conception to completion.
• Train and mentor Engineering Operation Technicians on maintenance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures.
• Collaborate with 3rd party providers to deliver operational excellence.
• Ensure organizational capability to respond to customer impacting events.
• Elevate capabilities of site chief engineers and establish training requirements.
