Job description
As a Silicon Component Reliability Engineer at Apple, you will work within the Silicon Technologies group to ensure the introduction and qualification of new products with high quality. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams and third parties, focusing on driving product, process, and package qualification. Your role will involve implementing reliability stress tests and ensuring design for reliability and testability. This position is crucial for maintaining the high standards that Apple is known for in its innovative products.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor engineering with a focus on Reliability and/or Quality/Product Engineering.
- Experience with JEDEC reliability and quality related standards.
- Familiarity with silicon product level reliability qualification and lifetime behavior models.
- Prior experience defining hardware setups and equipment for various tests including life, environmental, and ESD.
Responsibilities
- Drive requirements and execution of product, process, and package qualification.
- Lead all aspects of qualification preparation including material and waveform considerations.
- Implement process flows and supervise product performance.
- Perform First Article Inspection to ensure critical goals are met before production.
- Investigate and resolve qualification fallouts and nonconformance events.
- Conduct supplier audits as necessary.
- Assess and perform yield analysis and correlation analysis for all levels of testing.
- Guide suppliers for improvements in silicon Fab process, packaging, and assembly.
