C2 Catalyst is responsible for building one of Earth's largest distributed systems, EC2, at scale. The team focuses on creating software and tooling to automate the deployment of new EC2 instances in various regions and availability zones. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

• Implement tooling that interacts with a broad set of EC2 services to ensure scalable deployment.
• Create tools needed to deploy new EC2 instances in a fully automated fashion.
• Manage complex large-scale deployments including configuration, service migration, and dependency detection.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities to ensure system fault tolerance and resolve issues.
• Engage in knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team to support career growth.
