The Software Development Engineer II role on the AWS Field Experience team focuses on designing and delivering distributed systems for Contract Lifecycle Management and approval workflows. This position involves working across the full software development lifecycle, writing high-quality code, and collaborating with various teams including legal and finance. The team is dedicated to building tools that enhance the AWS sales and marketing organization, enabling them to streamline processes and improve customer engagement. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Design and build distributed services and APIs for contract lifecycle management and approval workflows.
• Develop and optimize approval-flow and workflow-orchestration engines.
• Build and maintain integrations with e-signature and CLM platforms.
• Implement LLM-powered workflows and automation to reduce manual effort in contract processes.
• Participate actively in code reviews and mentor other engineers.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and drive permanent fixes.
