As a Software Development Engineer II on the Multi-Channel Sourcing team within Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies organization, you will build software that impacts customer delivery promises and vendor operations. Your work will involve onboarding vendors and warehouses into Amazon's fulfillment network and improving the economics of Direct Fulfillment. You will also develop cost models to inform sourcing decisions across the network. This role offers the opportunity to shape the team's long-term direction and work on open architecture questions.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Design, build, test, and deploy features that onboard vendors and warehouses as nodes in Amazon's fulfillment network.
• Build capabilities that scale Direct Fulfillment into new marketplaces and improve the channel's economics.
• Develop the cost models that determine the true cost of sourcing from every vendor.
• Develop and operate highly available, cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor fellow engineers.
• Investigate operational issues to their root cause and deliver permanent fixes.
