The Sr. Quality Engineer will be part of the Retail Technology, QA Engineering team at Apple, focusing on quality standards and execution for customer-facing interactive applications and systems. This role involves designing and driving automated test coverage while balancing exploratory testing. The engineer will collaborate with other engineers to influence testability and observability during the design process. The position requires a strong commitment to quality and innovation in a diverse and inclusive environment.

• 7+ years in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development.
• Proven experience testing native iOS and macOS applications end to end on managed Apple devices.
• Proficient in Swift and Python with the ability to build and maintain automation.
• Experience testing web applications and backend services end to end.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Own strategy and execution across a portfolio of applications and systems deployed to Apple Stores worldwide.
• Design and drive automated test coverage while maintaining a healthy balance of exploratory testing.
• Influence testability and observability early in the design process.
• Serve as the go/no-go decision maker for user-acceptance and production-validation testing.
• Manage test data and environment, mirroring production data into lower environments.
• Conduct accessibility and multi-locale validation for customer-facing applications.
