We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute autonomously to the development of next-generation self-service tools for global customers. This role involves owning features throughout the software lifecycle, from design to deployment, while ensuring high-quality, maintainable code. The engineer will also maintain existing solutions and mentor other engineers through code reviews. A strong focus on customer needs and scalable solutions is essential.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

• Own features end-to-end across the full software lifecycle, from customer requirements through design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, and documentation
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code that others can confidently extend
• Take on projects requiring problem-solving and technical judgment for implementation details
• Balance competing constraints to avoid short-term workarounds that compromise system quality
• Deliver scalable, high-availability solutions for millions of Amazon customers globally
• Maintain and enhance the current solution stack while developing next-generation tools
• Mentor other engineers through code review as a teaching mechanism
• Demonstrate customer obsession by prioritizing user needs and scalability
• Contribute to the design and architecture of self-service tools that scale globally
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through rigorous testing and operational excellence
