The role is part of Apple's Core Network Services Operations team, which ensures the smooth operation of Apple's MPLS backbone network. The team is composed of engineers who manage a diverse technology stack at a global scale. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and external service providers to maintain network infrastructure. Candidates should be enthusiastic about operational excellence and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

• A minimum of 3 years of network operations experience in a large scale enterprise or service provider environment
• Experience evaluating and managing outages to business critical infrastructure
• Ability to maintain composure and customer-service focus in stressful and ambiguous situations
• Self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed, self-sufficient
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP and various IGP protocols
• Proficiency in macOS, Linux, and/or other variations of UNIX operating systems
• Experience working in large scale network environments with ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent experience
• Flexibility to work early morning or late night shift patterns required

• Provide front line support for Apple's MPLS backbone network and its connectivity
• Work on tickets and break fixes while mentoring junior team members
• Develop network automation playbooks and maintain existing networks
• Coordinate peering expansions and contribute to technical documentation
