This role involves architecting microservices and web platforms using modern frameworks while ensuring architecture consistency and code quality. The position requires collaboration with architecture design teams and the development of complex applications in a financial services context. The candidate will also be responsible for advising senior management on technical strategies and managing project schedules.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.
• Five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer or three years with a Master’s degree.
• Experience building and maintaining web applications using Angular, JavaScript, and RESTful web services.
• Demonstrated expertise in Java and J2EE technologies, including Spring and Spring Boot.

• Participate in architecture design teams.
• Define and implement application level architecture.
• Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
• Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review test plans.
• Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Plan and coordinate project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
• Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
