The role requires expertise in cloud-native patterns and performance engineering for mission-critical systems. The engineer will also conduct feasibility assessments for emerging technologies and provide technical solutions to various project issues. Mentoring junior team members and advising senior management on technical strategy are key aspects of this role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field and three years of experience in the same role.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and supporting customer-facing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, and JavaScript technologies.
• Experience with event-driven messaging using Kafka and enforcing web security standards through OAuth and SAML.

• Participate in architecture design teams.
• Define and implement application-level architecture.
• Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
• Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review test plans.
• Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Plan and coordinate complex project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
• Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project and technology issues.
