Fidelity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join the Fidelity Institutional Technology Development team. This role focuses on applying software development and test automation expertise to enhance delivery speed, efficiency, and product quality. The engineer will collaborate closely with Agile team members to implement quality practices throughout the development lifecycle. The position involves working on mission-critical security functionality that supports a wide range of users.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in automated testing environments
• 4+ years building strong test automation for web-based applications
• 4+ years working in Agile environments, preferably SAFe Agile
• 2+ years of software development experience is preferred
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, TDD, and BDD principles
• Experience testing enterprise applications in cloud environments such as AWS
• Expertise with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, Serenity, or Selenium
• Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP API automation using tools like Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, and JUnit
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build tools like Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Terracore
• Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Multi-stack engineering experience across Java/J2EE, Spring, JavaScript/Angular, and web services
• Experience creating mock services for microservice-based architectures
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages including Java, C#, TypeScript, Angular, HTML, XML, or VB.NET
• Experience with source control and test management tools like the Atlassian suite and XRay

• Design, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality solutions with a focus on improving delivery speed and product quality.
• Lead quality practices across the development lifecycle by defining and implementing test strategies.
• Build automation frameworks and develop automated and functional tests including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Drive quality within CI/CD pipelines and perform quality inspections and audits.
• Coach developers on quality best practices and collaborate on test coverage and release velocity.
• Continuously leverage new technologies to improve testing processes and outcomes.
