The Lead Platform Engineer at Parametric will work closely with cloud-native application development teams to enhance software delivery and foster a culture of continuous experimentation. This role is part of the Platform Engineering team, which focuses on developer enablement and system reliability throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. The engineer will create reusable components and workflows to improve the developer experience while ensuring applications are reliable, performant, and secure. The position requires both technical leadership and collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 8+ years of hands-on Platform Engineering experience with a proven track record of leadership
• 8+ years of experience with cloud-native solution architectures and platform support
• Expertise in automation strategies for cloud-native solutions
• Proven experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code, preferably with Terraform
• Experience using GitHub and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines
• Experience implementing and operating container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Expertise in scripting with Python, BASH, or PowerShell

• Function as a subject matter expert in delivering and operating reliable applications
• Serve as a technical lead for key initiatives and influence technical strategy
• Mentor and develop team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
• Work with development teams to design and maintain highly available systems
• Partner with application development teams to create automation and tooling
• Create an environment of continuous experimentation and learning
• Contribute to the evolution of cloud-focused architecture
• Follow technology trends and recommend improvements
• Provide tier 2 and 3 escalations for related issues and questions
