Job description

The role is for an engineer on the Revenue Infrastructure team at Netflix, which focuses on streamlining revenue financial workflows to enhance accuracy and confidence in financial operations. The team is tasked with building scalable systems for revenue operations, including infrastructure for ads integration and cash reconciliation. The engineer will collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to design architectures that manage large data and support complex financial functions. This position requires a strong background in software engineering and distributed data processing.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge with server-side expertise.
  • Experience in distributed data processing, software engineering design, and data modeling concepts.
  • Proficient in Java, Scala, or any other JVM language.
  • Proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience with Pub-Sub (Kafka) and Stream Processing (Spark/Flink, etc.).
  • Expertise in solving large data challenges.
  • Expertise in building secure, scalable, and highly available distributed applications.
  • Professional experience in building financial and monetization solutions.
  • Understanding of the modern ad technology ecosystem with a focus on fintech.
  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in building reliable and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Managers and cross-functional engineering teams to design and evolve architectures.
  • Build highly configurable pipelines to support global workflows for complex financial functions.
  • Deliver innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of upstream and downstream systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable revenue financial workflows.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
