Job description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will work in the Mechanical Department of KLA's ECI division in Totowa, NJ, focusing on the design process of new systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and testing of mechanical systems. The engineer will lead projects related to analyzer and dosing system variants, emphasizing precision and reliability in design. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Doctorate Degree in a related field.
- Experience in developing electromechanical products from concept through production and sustaining.
- Proficiency in CAD systems such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete design process of new systems, including requirements specification and feasibility studies.
- Independently develop and review 3D CAD models, ensuring designs are manufacturable and serviceable.
- Own and review flow diagrams derived from customer requirements and engineering specifications.
- Lead design and integration of complex assemblies, defining robust mechanical interfaces and serviceability requirements.
- Generate and approve complete documentation packages for release, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with various teams to resolve integration issues and ensure production readiness.
