The Sr Manager Material Flow Engineering (Inbound) at Rivian is a pivotal role that supports logistics teams by designing advanced logistics networks for inbound suppliers globally. This position focuses on optimizing transportation costs and inventory while ensuring efficient logistics operations across various transportation modes. The role involves leading a team of analysts and collaborating cross-functionally to implement logistics plans. The successful candidate will also serve as a subject matter expert in logistics systems and processes.

• 10+ years of experience in the automotive or operational logistics industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• MBA or master's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience working with Transportation Management System (TMS), SAP, and Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
• Ability to lead a team through ambiguity and interpret data to drive decision-making.
• Ability to travel 20-25%.

• Lead a team of analysts responsible for advanced logistics network design and optimization.
• Define methods and procedures to maintain lane level plans within PFEP and TMS.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to implement logistics plans between suppliers, carriers, and material planning.
• Support and develop KPIs to improve shipment execution against plan.
• Build and maintain tools used to calculate utilization and maintain standard work against logistics plans.
• Analyze and report on inbound freight spend.
• Own the role and craft best-in-class strategies and processes for exponential growth.
