The Staff Unified Communications Engineer at Databricks will lead the evolution of the global communication and workplace technology infrastructure. This role focuses on delivering reliable and scalable communication systems while supporting rapid global office expansion. The engineer will work at the intersection of enterprise communications, workplace technology, networking, and AV infrastructure. This highly cross-functional position requires strong technical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• 8+ years supporting enterprise unified communications, workplace technology, or enterprise infrastructure environments
• Strong expertise in enterprise voice and conferencing systems
• Experience with conference room and workplace AV systems
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals including QoS and media optimization
• Ability to troubleshoot complex communication environments
• Experience supporting large-scale global environments and fast-paced growth
• Skills in managing communication infrastructure for office buildouts and workplace deployments
• Proficiency with automation and scripting tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• BA/BS or equivalent practical experience

• Lead the deployment, reliability, and evolution of enterprise voice, conferencing, and workplace communication systems
• Drive high-impact infrastructure initiatives supporting employees, executives, and global offices
• Ensure seamless communication experiences across conference rooms, executive spaces, and workplace environments
• Partner with various teams to support aggressive global office buildouts
• Lead communication and workplace technology deployments for new offices, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades
• Develop scalable standards for conference rooms, executive environments, and workplace communication systems
• Manage multiple concurrent deployments while maintaining operational excellence across existing offices
• Design and support enterprise voice and AV infrastructure connectivity, conferencing systems, and workplace integrations
• Troubleshoot complex communication and media issues across global environments
• Build automation and operational tooling to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Workplace, and Executive Support teams to define and deliver communication solutions
• Coordinate vendors, telecom providers, and integration partners to execute large-scale infrastructure projects
• Continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and quality of workplace communication experiences
• Create operational standards, documentation, and deployment playbooks that scale globally
• Mentor team members and help elevate engineering practices across the organization
