The Qualcomm Quality Engineer role focuses on supporting Automotive customers in North America by ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and customer returns while advocating for customer needs within Qualcomm. The engineer will work closely with customer engineering teams to facilitate new product introductions and drive quality strategy implementation. The role requires a strong understanding of automotive applications and the ability to analyze complex data to inform decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the Automotive industry, ideally in a customer-facing role.
• Understanding of wafer fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and curve tracers.
• Experience in driving problem-solving teams using 8D Methodology.
• Ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources to identify critical trends.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in verbal and written English.
• Willingness to travel frequently domestically and overseas.

• Plan, implement, and manage compliance of design and development processes with quality standards.
• Provide world-class quality support to address quality issues and customer returns.
• Collaborate with Automotive customers and Qualcomm internal teams to support customer APQP.
• Build strong relationships with customers and advocate for their needs within Qualcomm.
• Cooperate with global teams to drive the implementation of worldwide automotive quality strategies.
• Survey key customers frequently for quality KPIs and conduct business reviews.
• Support continuous improvement of Qualcomm Automotive Quality systems and processes.
