Job description
The role involves overseeing the architecture, design, verification, and performance analysis for Digital Signal Processor (DSP) development at Qualcomm. The team focuses on high-performance microprocessor design concepts applicable to various products including mobile and automotive technologies. The position requires evaluating design tradeoffs and ensuring design correctness using various system tools. The engineer will work under close supervision and contribute to the development of small, well-defined blocks and features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience with high-performance microprocessor design.
- Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- 1+ year of experience in design verification methods.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of small, well-defined blocks, features, and/or tests.
- Identify basic architecture and design problems and communicate them to project leads.
- Collaborate and collect feedback during design reviews to ensure requirements are met.
- Seek knowledge of industry trends and advances in engineering fields related to DSP products.
- Communicate effectively with supervision, peers, and leads using various communication methods.
