GitHub is seeking a Principal Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of Sandbox, a platform for agentic workloads in secure cloud environments. This role involves driving technical strategy and execution while collaborating with product and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering leadership and experience in large-scale cloud services. The focus is on building a secure, reliable, and enjoyable development platform for millions of developers.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Experience designing, building, or operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience with multi-tenant compute platforms, containers, virtual machines, microVMs, workload orchestration, or similar infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with security and workload isolation, including safely executing untrusted code and network isolation.
• Experience building platforms that support AI and agentic workloads.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
