Microsoft is seeking a Software Engineer for the Cloud+AI Silver Team, which focuses on deploying and operating services in a highly secure air gapped environment. The role involves collaborating with engineers and program managers to enable Azure services for internal and external customers in regulated industries. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Candidates must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements pre-offer and post-hire.
• 4+ years of experience with PowerShell, C#, or C++ is preferred.

• Apply debugging tools and examine logs, telemetry, and other methods to verify assumptions through proactive and reactive coding.
• Maintain operations of live service on a rotational, on-call basis and implement solutions for complex issues.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers in monitoring system performance and restoring services.
• Drive efforts to integrate instrumentation for gathering telemetry data on system behavior.
• Collect, classify, and analyze data on system metrics to refine products through data analytics.
• Build and enhance software developer tools to support other programs and applications.
• Define and develop standardized, repeatable, scalable solutions to guarantee quality.
