The Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be part of Jacobs' Energy & Power Solutions team, focusing on utility scale power projects. This role requires a senior-level engineer with over 10 years of experience in instrumentation and control technologies. The engineer will work in a hybrid setup, collaborating with a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to develop innovative energy solutions. The primary focus will be on technical delivery for power projects, ensuring reliability and capacity enhancements in the energy sector.

• Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of design, consulting, or operations experience.
• Experience in instrument specification, PLC or DCS control systems, P&ID development, and SCADA systems.
• Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain PE license within one year.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.

• Prepare specifications and drawings, write control system descriptions, and perform startup and commissioning activities.
• Specify instrumentation such as pressure and flow transmitters, switches, and control valves for large power projects.
• Design SCADA and Operational Technology networks including DCS, PLCs, servers/workstations, network switches, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on large, complex design projects.
• Drive ownership of health and safety in all aspects of project execution.
