The Lead Process Engineer will play a crucial role in evaluating technical specifications for process and clean utility equipment. This position involves leading a team of process engineers and coordinating with various engineering disciplines to ensure design alignment. The role focuses on developing process flow diagrams, performing hydraulic calculations, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in life sciences and a strong background in engineering principles.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an engineer-related occupation.
• Experience with material balance calculations for processes including Schedule Pro and Process Mapping Calculation.
• Proficiency in process clean and dirty utility calculations using Super Pro or Heat and Mass Balance.
• Knowledge of hydraulics calculations for pumps and piping using tools like Pipeflo or Fathom.

• Prepare and evaluate technical bid specifications for process and clean utility equipment.
• Calculate loads for clean utilities, line sizing, and distribution design.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams based on PFDs.
• Lead a team of process engineers and coordinate directly with clients on a weekly basis.
• Mentor process engineers within the organization and support the development of equipment datasheets.
