Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Silicon Product Definition Engineer to optimize silicon and system performance across various markets including Datacenter, Gaming, and Automotive. This role involves analyzing complex datasets to drive product configurations and enhancements from initial power-on to production. The engineer will collaborate with multi-functional teams to address technical challenges and ensure product quality. The position emphasizes the use of AI tools to streamline analysis and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in silicon product definition, post-silicon characterization, or performance and power analysis.
- Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and performance-per-watt analysis.
- Strong programming and data-analysis skills using Python and tools like Perl, JMP, or SQL.
- Strong technical foundation in digital design, circuit analysis, and computer architecture.
- Working knowledge of firmware, BIOS, drivers, and operating-system behavior.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical issues to root-cause closure across global teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Own product-definition analysis across performance, power, yield, and quality.
- Drive product-specific configurations by isolating constraints and translating findings into necessary changes.
- Build statistical models, automation, and visualization workflows to improve decision quality.
- Partner with Tools and Methodology teams to enhance data modeling and analysis infrastructure.
- Lead multi-functional root-cause closure from bring-up through production.
- Evaluate performance-per-watt and quality trade-offs, driving productized fixes.
- Translate complex silicon signals into decision-ready options for executive leadership.
- Own and deliver BIOS-level VF settings while debugging issues and driving fixes.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
