Job description

GEICO is seeking a Senior Engineer for Workday Talent Management to enhance the talent management capabilities within the Workday HCM platform. This role involves close collaboration with HR, Workday engineers, and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions that drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Workday Talent functionality and will serve as a technical leader to improve processes and deliver innovative solutions. The position emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and adherence to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday Talent Management configuration experience.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Talent Reviews, Talent Pools, Calibration Events, Career Hub, Internal Mobility, and Talent Optimization.
  • Experience integrating Skills functionality into Workday Talent processes.
  • Strong requirements gathering, business process analysis, testing, and implementation experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing projects.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday Talent Management functionality.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Support Talent Management processes including Talent Reviews, Talent Pools, Calibration Events, Career Hub, Internal Mobility, and Talent Optimization.
  • Lead solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Provide technical expertise and thought leadership across the organization.
  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Human Resources, Finance, Workday Report Writers, Integration Engineers, and Product and Engineering Teams.
  • Lead testing efforts, validate business requirements, and ensure successful implementation of enhancements.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to strengthen technical capabilities across the organization.
  • Adhere to company policies, operating principles, and the GEICO Code of Conduct.
