The Lead Front End Engineer at Citi is a senior-level technologist responsible for driving the digital transformation of one of the world's most complex financial institutions. This role requires mastery of modern front-end technologies and the ability to translate business goals into scalable digital experiences. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and alignment of technology investments. • 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development or systems analysis.
• Extensive experience in systems analysis and the end-to-end programming of complex software applications.
• Proven experience designing, building, and shipping successful projects from conception through deployment in enterprise-scale environments.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack and npm.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools including Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
• Resolve a variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
