Job description
This role is focused on co-designing circuits that enhance safety, security, reliability, and performance for NVIDIA's products. The Silicon Co-Design Group bridges the gap between design intent and silicon reality, ensuring products meet the high demands of AI infrastructure. The engineer will analyze circuit behavior, trace failures, and drive resolutions while building automation tools and methodologies. This position also involves mentoring junior engineers and contributing to decision-making processes based on data analysis.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in the lab.
- 8+ years of hands-on silicon bring-up, frequency and power characterization, or post-silicon validation on real hardware.
- Strong circuit fundamentals in analog, digital, and mixed-signal domains.
- Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQs, spectrum analyzers, and silicon debug tools.
- Depth in product binning, PVT analysis, guard-banding, and optimization trade-offs.
- Exposure to critical path analysis, power integrity, dI/dt and PDN analysis, transistor physics, and silicon reliability mechanisms.
- Scripting proficiency in Python, C/C++, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Own the co-design, bring-up, and post-silicon validation of circuits.
- Close the simulation-to-silicon gap by correlating measured circuit behavior against pre-silicon predictions.
- Trace failures to their source and drive the resolution through to confirmation.
- Build AI agents for automated test orchestration and intelligent data pipelines.
- Design and own automation and analysis infrastructure for efficient execution across multiple products.
- Drive binning strategy, guard-band decisions, and reliability sign-off based on data analysis.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns to improve team capabilities.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
