Job description
The Principal Performance and Manufacturing Architect at NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design Group will bridge the gap between design intent and manufacturing reality. This role focuses on building first-principles models that connect various physical parameters to manufacturing outcomes. The architect will ensure that every margin term is defensible and that the organization improves its product shipping processes. The position requires a deep understanding of transient behavior and the ability to lead validation experiments from NPI through production.
Requirements
- BSEE / MSEE / PhD or equivalent experience, with 15+ years in the field.
- Deep, hands-on understanding of transient VF behavior and its impact on stress conditions for defects.
- Demonstrated experience in building first-principles models calibrated through real silicon.
- A clear track record of defining manufacturing test specifications on shipped products.
- Experience in building and running silicon validation experiments as the primary developer.
Responsibilities
- Own the physics connecting AVF, defect mechanisms, and DVFS transients to field FIT and system-level yield.
- Specify ATE and SLT voltage, frequency, and timing conditions to capture worst-case transient VF windows.
- Author the methodology document for each program and drive alignment across various engineering teams.
- Own the per-release validation plan, including experiments, sample sizes, and production monitoring.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
