The Network Development Engineer role at AWS focuses on delivering sustainable and repeatable solutions for next-generation IP networks. This position is part of the EDGE team within the Global Connectivity and Network Availability organization, which is responsible for managing internet traffic and ensuring efficient connectivity for AWS services. The role involves collaborating with various engineering teams to implement network changes and support large-scale networking events. Engineers will also work in a 24x7 on-call rotation, managing customer issues and maintaining high standards of performance.

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience

• Create and implement changes on the network.
• Work closely with automation teams to define scaling tools.
• Lead network projects in areas such as deployment and optimization.
• Provide critical network support to diagnose and resolve large-scale networking events.
• Operate and troubleshoot network routing and performance issues.
