Job description
This internship role focuses on contributing to module process development and equipment configuration for manufacturing modules at Intel. The intern will support yield improvement initiatives through data analysis and experimentation while collaborating with engineering teams to optimize processes. The position offers hands-on experience in a lab environment, allowing the intern to learn and apply knowledge in semiconductor materials and device characterization. This role is ideal for those pursuing a PhD in a hard science discipline and looking to explore future career opportunities.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a PhD degree in a hard science discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.
- Research experience related to semiconductor materials is required.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to module process development and process integration flows.
- Support yield improvement initiatives by analyzing defect data and conducting experiments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize metrology strategies and troubleshoot process flow issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts in high volume manufacturing environments.
- Learn and apply knowledge through hands-on experience and projects that support Intel business goals.
