The AWS Kumo team is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to enhance data architecture and improve data quality for AWS customer applications. This role involves collaborating with Data Scientists and Business Analysts to leverage data for strategic insights and business improvements. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders to solve complex problems using data analysis. The position emphasizes innovation and the application of big data technologies to enhance customer experiences on AWS.

• 1+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with one or more query languages such as SQL or HiveQL
• Experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark
• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica or SSIS

• Develop and improve the current data architecture, data quality, monitoring, and data availability.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to implement advanced analytics algorithms for statistical analysis and machine learning.
• Partner with Business Analysts to build and verify hypotheses to improve the AWS Support business.
• Help improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes for customer self-service support.
• Stay updated with advances in big data technologies and design scalable data architectures.
