The EC2 Networking team is seeking talented engineers to contribute to the next generation of cloud networking. This role involves owning the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of networking capabilities that enhance performance and availability for various workloads. Engineers will work on high-performance virtualized networking capabilities and solve complex systems challenges. The position offers opportunities to influence multiple platforms and collaborate with experienced engineers across Amazon.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 4+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of experience contributing to systems architecture and design
• 4+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++
• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
• Knowledge of machine learning model architecture and inference
• Experience in software development, Linux, and networking protocols
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

• Design, scope, implement, and integrate testing of performance optimizations and dataplane features for EC2 Nitro System.
• Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation to enhance team productivity and quality.
• Influence best engineering practices on design and coding.
• Identify business problems and advocate for technical solutions that influence the technical roadmap.
• Mentor junior engineers in scoping, design, and developing scalable and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with Senior/Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions.
