The Senior Staff UX Quantitative Researcher for Search Ads at Google will focus on understanding user behavior and improving product experiences through empirical research methods. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with Engineering and Product Management to drive innovative product development. The researcher will set and guide a research agenda that influences product decisions and enhances user satisfaction. The position requires a blend of statistical proficiency, behavioral research design, and programming skills to uncover actionable insights.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar.
• Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics such as Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go.
• Experience with survey data and behavioral data.
• Experience with experimental design.

• Set and drive an ambitious research agenda on user experiences and interactions with products.
• Work closely with Product Management, Design, and Engineering leadership to prioritize research aligned with product and business objectives.
• Advocate for user experience research and contribute to a more evidence-based culture in UX.
• Demonstrate excellent scientific and statistical judgment, producing rigorous insights in a changing environment.
• Leverage a mix of methods and data sources, such as live-traffic experiments and in-product surveys.
