The Senior Physical Design Engineer will be part of a team focused on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role involves driving progress in physical design and mentoring junior team members. The engineer will leverage their expertise to shape the next generation of hardware experiences, ensuring high performance and efficiency. The position is critical in delivering innovative solutions that enhance the quality of Google's products.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of physical design experience.
• Experience in one or more synthesis/PnR tools such as Genus, Innovus, DC, or ICC.
• Experience in high performance synthesis, PnR, sign-off convergence, including Static Timing Analysis (STA) and sign-off optimizations.

• Develop all aspects of ASIC Register Transfer Level to Graphic Data System (RTL2GDS) implementation for high Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) designs.
• Manage full-chip level physical implementation.
• Define and implement innovative schemes to improve Performance and Power.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver the best quality of results.
