The Senior Staff Software Engineer, Technical Lead for YouTube Ads Surfaces and Experiences at Google is responsible for driving engineering strategy and making key technical decisions. The position requires deep expertise in software development and architecture, particularly in the context of AI and machine learning technologies. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• 8 years of experience programming in Java or C++.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.

• Drive long-term engineering strategy, incorporating organizational business priorities and technological shifts.
• Own key technical decisions based on expertise, guiding the team through important design tradeoffs.
