Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Linux and Android internals. The role focuses on software design, development, and testing of telephony software for cellular technologies like 4G LTE and 5G. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party OEMs to develop scalable and optimized telephony features. This position emphasizes contributions to the Android Open Source Project and requires strong problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C++, Java, or Kotlin.
• Experience in Android software development and embedded software development on mobile devices.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in object-oriented design and development.

• Design, implement, and drive new telephony features on the Android platform.
• Debug and fix complex problems involving multiple modules from Android UI to radio interface layer.
• Implement tools and test applications to streamline the testing process.
• Contribute to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
• Participate in pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up of future chipsets.
