Job description
The Senior Hardware Security Engineer role at Microsoft focuses on innovating hardware designs to support the growth of Azure's cloud infrastructure. This position is part of the Systems Planning and Architecture team, which is responsible for the core technologies behind Microsoft's cloud services. The engineer will engage in all phases of product development, including threat modeling, architectural evaluation, and secure silicon design. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure robust security infrastructure and dynamic problem-solving throughout the development process.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Proven experience in architecture, design, and validation of SOC internal blocks.
- Strong skills in System Verilog, Synthesis tools, UVM, C, and Python.
- Familiarity with PCIe architecture and server architectures.
Responsibilities
- Architect security infrastructure around core AI technologies to meet throughput and latency requirements.
- Develop AI agents for security analysis of code and architecture.
- Conduct threat model analysis of platform components and their interactions.
- Work with open-ended problem statements and analyze large datasets of business requirements and fleet telemetry.
