The Senior Firmware Engineer will join the SCHIE BIOS/UEFI Center of Excellence team at Microsoft, focusing on delivering high-quality BIOS/UEFI solutions for the Microsoft Cloud infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure the security and innovation of firmware solutions. The engineer will drive strategic objectives to enhance Azure's BIOS/UEFI security posture while managing the product lifecycle from inception to release. • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 4+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• 10+ years of experience with the majority as a Technical Lead or similar.
• Proficient in developing low-level firmware or software for hardware platforms, including firmware, BIOS, UEFI, EDK2, BMC, among others.
• Demonstrated expertise in leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

• Collaborate with partners to develop and maintain the BIOS/UEFI portfolio supporting infrastructure across the Azure fleet.
• Drive strategic objectives to enhance Azure's BIOS/UEFI security posture by resolving security vulnerabilities.
• Oversee the development of new hardware SKUs, ensuring compliance with BIOS/UEFI requirements and adherence to development schedules.
• Champion the implementation of new BIOS/UEFI requirements to optimize performance, telemetry, and diagnostics.
• Manage requirements and feature delivery through agile execution, including sprints, backlogs, and milestones.
