The Quantum Infrastructure Intern will join the infrastructure team at IBM to support the automation of network operations. This internship is designed for students pursuing degrees in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, and emphasizes learning through hands-on experience. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios. The main focus will be on building and maintaining scripts and tools that automate routine network tasks using technologies like Python and Ansible.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of scripting or programming languages, such as Python.
• Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts such as TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Exposure to or interest in automation tools and concepts like Ansible, REST APIs, and Git.
• Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments.

• Assist in building and maintaining scripts and tools for automating network tasks.
• Support configuration deployment, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Shadow experienced engineers during troubleshooting sessions.
• Help document processes related to network operations.
• Contribute to small automation projects as part of the internship.
