The Senior Software Engineer role on the Microsoft Store team focuses on enhancing the Store client experience on Windows. This position involves owning significant parts of the acquisition, install, and update flows that millions of customers rely on daily. The engineer will drive technical design and ship features from end to end while collaborating with developers and partner teams. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• Experience with Windows client development, including app packaging and deployment.
• Experience debugging complex problems across process, service, and operating system boundaries.

• Design, build, and ship features in the Microsoft Store client on Windows.
• Own the reliability and performance of acquisition, install, and update flows.
• Set technical direction within your areas, including modernization of legacy code paths.
• Partner with developers and partner engineering teams to investigate app-specific issues.
• Ensure engineering quality, craftsmanship, security, privacy, and compliance.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar through code and design review.
