The Mechanical Engineering Intern will join Jacobs' Energy & Power team, focusing on innovative solutions for the energy sector. This internship offers the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges while being mentored by Professional Engineers. Interns will engage with clients to evaluate energy needs and develop concept-level plans. The role emphasizes supporting engineering calculations and detailed project specifications.

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program for Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
• Familiarity or experience with 3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx, and NavisWorks.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as Pipe-Flo or AFT Fathom.
• Knowledge of systems modeling software such as Thermoflow or Aspen/Hysys.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Support engineering calculations, construction drawings, and specifications for energy and power projects.
• Perform piping and equipment sizing, stress analysis, flow modeling, energy analysis, and life cycle cost evaluations.
• Take ownership of the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned work.
• Progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated projects while collaborating with a technical team.
