Job description
The Manufacturing Test Development Engineer at Google will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions for Google's products. This role focuses on creating manufacturing test processes, tools, and procedures to ensure the reliability of Google's infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with design engineers and commodity managers to meet product specifications and infrastructure needs. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of Google's powerful computing systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in hardware test development, manufacturing test engineering, or hardware validation.
- 3 years of experience developing automated test scripts, test executives, and diagnostic tools using Python in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Experience designing, building, or deploying manufacturing test solutions for hardware.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing test development for new and existing hardware designs.
- Write test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements.
- Develop automated test scripts for functional tests, software installation, and burn-in using Python.
- Design, build, and deploy test platforms for Google's global manufacturing partners.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes.
