The XD Design Engineering team at Netflix is focused on developing and innovating the Design Platform to enhance the product development lifecycle. In this high-impact role, you will work on productivity tools and automations that accelerate design workflows. You will collaborate with system designers and engineers to drive the adoption of the Design System while leading projects and communicating their impact. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to gather stakeholder input to shape long-term strategies.

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and shipping software
• Experience with single page applications architecture, patterns, and design
• Experience fetching data from GraphQL and REST APIs
• Experience with client-side instrumentation and observability
• Proven ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with partners
• Strong project scoping and project management skills
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js

• Contribute, maintain, and expand critical design component libraries and capabilities supporting hundreds of internal users.
• Implement AI solutions that measurably accelerate product design workflows.
• Be the engineering lead on projects, working from ideation to implementation to rollout.
• Conduct internal user-research to gather insights to inform prioritization and feature development.
• Complete medium to large features independently without guidance.
• Be the primary point of contact for support requests related to the Design System portfolio.
• Work with designers and engineers across other teams to maintain the integrity and reliability of the Design System portfolio.
• Participate in on-call rotation to continue to meet critical SLAs.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
