• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and build developer tools that Amazon engineers use every day.
• Maintain build tools, compilers, libraries, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineers to understand their pain points and develop solutions.
• Mentor engineers and help improve the builder experience from a language perspective.
• Write and review code, and assist others in debugging issues with tools.
