The Senior Platform Application Engineer for Cloud AI Infrastructure at Google is responsible for ensuring customers maximize their investment in Google Cloud hardware. This role involves deep hardware analysis, debugging, and issue resolution to address complex technical challenges. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, quality, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement in products and services. The position requires expertise in AI/ML infrastructure and a strong understanding of hardware architectures.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with technical infrastructure, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• 6 years of debug or validation experience with CPU, dGPU, or TPU.
• 5 years of experience with hardware debug, including silicon debug, platform debug, IO interface, or memory analysis.
• Experience debugging technical issues across the stack, including hardware faults, low-level software, networking, and virtualization.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and debugging issues across the hardware/software boundary.

• Manage customer problems through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation tools.
• Work closely with multiple Product, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve the product.
• Interact with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to understand behaviors.
• Debug platform hardware and silicon-related issues to drive root-cause resolution.
• Drive understanding of AI/ML workloads and underlying hardware architectures.
• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve complex deployment and operational obstacles.
