The Wireless System Engineer for Bluetooth will be part of the Connectivity System team, which focuses on defining and executing technology roadmaps for Google hardware. This role involves participating in the full hardware development life cycle for Pixel products and making key architectural and design decisions. The engineer will act as the primary technical contact for Bluetooth features, ensuring optimal system performance and user experience. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to drive the implementation of emerging Bluetooth technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience working in a wireless technical environment, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, UWB, or Cellular technology and protocol.

• Architect and deploy Bluetooth subsystems for Pixel phones and wearables.
• Define and maintain system performance KPIs using link budget calculations and field analysis.
• Lead performance optimization to ensure alignment with target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Develop automated testing and regression frameworks to evaluate and improve system reliability.
• Conduct real-world field testing and partner with engineering teams to resolve regressions.
