Job description

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Water Engineer to join their teams in Austin and San Antonio, TX. This role focuses on supporting high-profile projects aimed at addressing water issues related to resilience, quality, reuse, and management. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced water professionals to develop sustainable solutions and enhance their technical capabilities. The position is part of the global business area Resilience, which aims to protect natural environments and water resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependability and an eagerness to take ownership of tasks.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certificate is preferred.
  • Basic understanding or familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and H&H models is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, design, and support the management of various projects related to resiliency, stormwater, and wastewater.
  • Provide comprehensive assessments and develop strategies for resilience initiatives.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation.
  • Ensure project compliance with industry standards, regulations, and sustainability goals.
  • Assist in preparing project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to supervisors.
  • Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, and water quality analyses.
