The Engineering Manager for the Purview Fundamentals team at Microsoft will lead a talented group of engineers responsible for delivering platform services that support Microsoft Purview. This role emphasizes driving execution from strategy to customer adoption while ensuring security and compliance are integral to the design. The manager will foster an inclusive engineering culture and focus on service reliability and operational excellence. This position is crucial for enhancing customer-focused innovation and maintaining strong governance across Purview workloads.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

• Own the end-to-end delivery of Microsoft Purview features and services.
• Lead and grow a team of software engineers by providing coaching and career development.
• Drive service reliability, availability, and operational excellence through incident management.
• Partner with product management, security, compliance, and platform teams to define roadmaps.
• Champion security-first engineering practices and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
• Establish engineering processes, quality standards, and metrics aligned with New Production Function.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Microsoft Security, M365, Entra, and platform teams.
• Drive technical architecture and design reviews balancing scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Manage operational priorities, technical debt reduction, and long-term platform modernization efforts.
• Communicate engineering status, risks, dependencies, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Sponsor customer-focused innovation by leveraging telemetry and data-driven insights.
• Ensure teams maintain strong ownership of compliance, governance, and enterprise security requirements.
