Jacobs is seeking a Mid-career Irrigation Engineer to lead technical teams in the Boise, ID office. This role focuses on the planning, design, and construction of irrigation and water supply projects. The engineer will be instrumental in improving irrigation infrastructure across the state and the Northwest region. The position also involves business development and fostering strong client relationships.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural, Civil, Environmental, or Irrigation Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience working in irrigation subject areas, including hydraulic analysis, conveyance design, storage and impoundment, irrigation intakes and pumps, and irrigation distribution.
• Ability to work independently, manage design tasks, and mentor early-career engineers.
• PE license in Idaho, Washington, or Oregon.

• Lead the creation of planning, design, and construction documents for irrigation and water supply projects.
• Participate in challenging irrigation storage and conveyance projects from concept through detailed design and construction services.
• Assist with business development, including strategy development, positioning, proposing, and negotiating contracts.
• Communicate with clients on technical design topics and project schedule, budget, and scope.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to Water Resources Group staff.
• Promote inclusion within the office and the Water Team.
