As an Intern Supply Chain Specialist at IBM, you will work alongside experienced professionals to help organizations enhance their supply chain processes. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of supply chain, operations, procurement, sourcing, logistics, inventory management, planning, manufacturing, or related business processes.
- Ability to analyze information, identify trends, solve problems, and develop recommendations using a structured approach.
- Exposure to supply chain, operations, analytics, process improvement, or business problem-solving through coursework, projects, internships, case competitions, student organizations, research, or other practical experiences.
- Foundational understanding of how data and technology can support business operations and supply chain decision-making.
- Awareness of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, automation, analytics, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support supply chain transformation projects focused on planning, procurement, sourcing, inventory, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and operational challenges, developing insights that support business decisions.
- Assist teams in evaluating current supply chain processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Gain exposure to how organizations use Artificial Intelligence and technology to improve supply chain operations.
- Collaborate with business and technology professionals to understand client requirements and support solution development.
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, analysis, testing, and documentation to help transform complex supply chain operations.
