Job description
This role at Apple focuses on designing precision assembly and measurement processes for their products. The team is responsible for researching and developing new technologies to solve complex assembly and automation challenges. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role, particularly with automation equipment.
- Experience in new product introduction and manufacturing operations is desired.
- A proven track record of cost reduction, project management, and engineering design is required.
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles is favorable.
- Experience with NX, SolidWorks CAD, or ProE is a plus.
- Knowledge of optics principles related to CCD cameras and lasers is beneficial.
- Basic understanding of liquid adhesives, PSAs, and VHBs is a plus.
- Working knowledge of robotics, pneumatics, servo motors, motion controllers, and control systems is required.
- Experience with JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma is preferred.
